Strengthening Connections with the Next Generation of Cardiologists

The OAC is strengthening its connections with cardiology residents and fellows through complimentary trainee membership, expanded outreach and opportunities for professional engagement and leadership.
August 24, 2026

The Ontario Association of Cardiologists is continuing its efforts to strengthen connections with cardiology residents, fellows and physicians in the early stages of their careers.

Recognizing the importance of engaging the next generation of cardiologists, the Association is expanding its outreach to trainees across Ontario’s cardiology training programs and encouraging greater participation in its activities.

The OAC offers complimentary membership to cardiology residents and fellows, providing opportunities to stay informed about developments affecting cardiovascular practice, connect with experienced colleagues and become involved in the Association’s work.

The Association is also exploring additional opportunities for trainee participation and leadership, including initiatives that recognize and support emerging leaders in cardiology.

These efforts reflect the OAC’s commitment to building a strong, engaged cardiology community and ensuring that the perspectives of physicians entering practice are represented in its future activities.
