Southlake Team Leads First-in-Canada Coronary Analysis Procedure

Southlake Team Leads First-in-Canada Coronary Analysis Procedure

July 15, 2026

A recent article from Canadian Healthcare Technology highlights a Canadian first achieved by Dr. Steven Miner and the Regional Cardiac Program at Southlake Health. The team used Pullback Pressure Gradient analysis to obtain a more detailed understanding of how coronary artery disease is distributed within a patient’s artery. By distinguishing between a localized blockage and more diffuse disease, the technology can help cardiologists determine whether a patient is most likely to benefit from a stent, medical management or surgery, supporting more precise and individualized treatment decisions.
