OAC Co-Hosts EQI Program Update Webinar with Accreditation Canada

On December 3, 2025, the Ontario Association of Cardiologists (OAC) and Accreditation Canada collaborated to co-host the fourth annual EQI program update webinar, which this year focused on the new EQI Program Accreditation Requirements scheduled to take effect in April 2026.

The webinar provided cardiologists and echocardiography program leads with a clear overview of upcoming EQI changes, including key timelines, documentation requirements, and practical readiness considerations for both community-based and hospital-based echocardiography labs.

The session also addressed implementation planning and offered participants the opportunity to engage directly with representatives from Accreditation Canada through a live question-and-answer discussion.

This initiative reflects the OAC’s ongoing commitment to supporting quality improvement, accreditation readiness, and clear communication for cardiologists and cardiac programs across Ontario as system requirements continue to evolve.
