Ontario Cardiologist Demonstrates Live Cardiac Procedure for Global Cardiology Audience
A recent article from the Ontario Hospital Association highlights how Ontario-based cardiologists are contributing to global education in cardiovascular care. During the Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT) conference, Dr. Sanjog Kalra of UHN’s Peter Munk Cardiac Centre performed a complex and life-saving intravascular imaging procedure that was transmitted live to clinicians around the world. The case allowed an international audience of cardiologists to observe and discuss the challenging intervention in real time, turning a critical clinical procedure into a global learning experience.
