Ontario Budget Cuts Take Aim at Cardiac Care
Cardiac care is once again in the cross-hairs of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care in Ontario.
Cardiologists believe cuts of this magnitude will be highly detrimental to the quality of cardiac care our patients have come to expect, deserve, and promised by the Ontario government.
Heart disease is the number one killer of Canadians, and Cardiologists work 24/7 saving cardiac patients’ lives across the province.
In the coming days, the OAC will provide more information on our efforts to ensure cardiac care is not jeopardized due to these impending cuts.
Our ability to provide world-class cardiac care is non-negotiable. And that’s something the OAC will never stop fighting for.
Sincerely,
Dr. James Swan
President, Ontario Association of Cardiologists
