The Medical Post picks up OAC story
On January 12, The Medical Post, a subscription based magazine published an article quoting extensively from the Globe and Mail’s story on the status of health care negotiations in Ontario.
Titled Ontario Association of Cardiologists warn of impending fee cut possibility, the article bases its information on a leaked email obtained by the Globe, where OAC President Dr. Jim Swan warns cardiologists that negotiations between the provincial government and Ontario doctors could end in failure in the coming days.

It’s important to note an error in the Globe and Mail article. No Ontario cardiologist, including Dr. Swan, was at the negotiating table as the article indicates.
The Medical Post, a subsidiary of The Canadian Healthcare Network, has a monthly print circulation of nearly 50,000 copies, plus approximately 16,700 online subscribers.
